Horizon MI Disc View Loading Instructions:
Place the CD into your computer CD/DVD ROM drive. After a few seconds the program will automatically load. The program launch window will be the
first to appear on your screen (see image below).
After selecting Yes, the next screen will automatically load (see image below). An explanation of the icons used on this screen can be found on the
MI Disc View 3.1 Icon Card (see bottom of this section to access). However, there are also a few shortcuts that are not explained on the Icon Card.
The next screen (shown in image below) contains the patients study date, procedure type and modality. Use your mouse (left click) to select which study you
wish to view.
After selecting the study you wish to view, you will be prompted to agree to "ActiveX Scripting", which allows your computer to display the images.
Use your mouse (left click) to select "Yes" (see image below). If you have Norton AntiVirus (or another anti-virus software program) installed on your
computer, you might also be prompted to allow the script. With the Norton software, a window will pop up displaying the message "Malicious Script Detected".
Use the dropdown menu to select "Authorize this script".
After selecting "Yes", the next screen will automatically load (see image below). As detailed previously, an explanation of the icons used on this
screen can be found on the MI Disc View 3.1 Icon Card (see bottom of this section to access). Similarly, however, there are several additional shortcuts
that are not explained on the Icon Card.
Place your mouse pointer in the window of the image you wish to manipulate and right click (see image below). This will bring up an options menu that will
allow you to:
- Select a preset window/level for your particular study
- Zoom incrementally (x1, x2, x3, etc.)
- Animate
- Change the layout configuration of your images
- Rotate the image (counter-clockwise, clockwise, etc.)
- Measure (distance, ROI, angle, etc.)
- Link series together
The radiologist report is also available to view if it was completed prior to the burning of your CD. If not, you will need to call to request a copy be mailed
or faxed to you. To view the report, you will need to minimize the screen that contains the images (see image below).
Once the image screen is minimized you will be able to view the patients "Study Document Page." (see image below).
The report is located in the middle of the screen. Use the up and down arrows on the right side to scroll through the report (see image below).
To print the report, left click on "Show Printer-Friendly Version" (it may be necessary to maximize the window if it is not maximized already). This
will bring the report up in a new window. At the top of that window, click "File" and then select "Print". If at anytime you wish to go back
to viewing the images, left click on the "MI Disc View" tab located at the bottom of your screen (see image below).
